Intramural Sports Supervisor

An Intramural Sports Supervisor will be responsible for communication with Intramural Sports Coordinator on potential or present problems, concerns and needs along with sharing suggestions and ideas with the support staff. Assist with the organization and administration of the leagues and tournaments through their daily responsibilities. Responsible for knowing events and activities held in the Athletic Center during scheduled work shift. Supervise fellow employees and hold them accountable for their job duties. Responsible for promoting University recreation through their assistance with officials training, captain’s meetings, league, tournament and special events promotions. Responsible for attending all staff meetings scheduled by the Intramural Sports Coordinator Assist with the equipment set up and take down during work shifts. Responsible for enforcing all Intramural Sports rules and policies. Responsible for developing a good rapport and strong communications between yourself, fellow employees, the Intramural Sports Coordinator and the participants. Responsible for sharing suggestions, ideas, equipment needs, etc. with the Intramural Sports Coordinator. Take pride in the Brown University Intramural Sports Program, maintain a positive, cooperative, customer service oriented attitude and contribute to a successful program.

First Generation Student Initiative Coordinator

The primary role of the First-Generation Student Initiative Coordinator involves planning and executing events designed for the First-Gen community. In addition to being aware of community needs and communicating those needs to the administration, the Asian American Student Initiative coordinator also maintains a close relationship with Asian/Asian American Alumni (specifically, the Asian/Asian American Alumni Alliance (A4)). Responsibilities include: -Drafting PAC’s weekly newsletter -Planning and organizing monthly PAC meetings, and striving for attendance from all PAC groups -Maintaining a current list of all the leaders in the various PAC organizations -Fostering collaboration and communication between the various groups within PAC and with PAC and outside groups -Planning and executing an annual PAC retreat in the fall semester. -Organizing the November A4 retreat and other events during A4 homecoming weekend. -Aiding PAC groups in event planning and in the promotion of their events.
