CES is the hub of environmentally focused academics at Brown. The Center department strives to prepare Brown students for lives and careers that demand a thorough understanding of human interactions with the natural and built environment, and to contribute in major ways to the solution of significant environmental problems. CES courses cover environmental studies and science topics ranging from green building to coastal ecology.
