Directions to the Visitor Parking Lot

From the North or South: From either I-95 South or I-95 North, take Exit 22A, Downtown, Memorial Boulevard. At the fifth traffic light, turn left onto College Street. Cross the bridge and proceed up the hill following College Street to the end. At the top of the hill, where College Street intersects with Prospect Street, you will see Brown’s Van Wickle Gates. Turn right onto Prospect Street. At the end of the street, turn left onto George Street. Take the second right onto Thayer Street. The entrance to the visitor parking lot is located at the intersection of Thayer and Power Streets. 

From the East: Follow I-195 West until exit 2, South Main Street. Travel down South Main Street to the first light. Turn right onto College Street. At the next stop sign, go straight up the hill. At the top of the hill, you will see Brown’s Van Wickle Gates. Turn right onto Prospect Street. At the end of the street, turn left onto George Street. Take the second right onto Thayer Street. The entrance to the visitor parking lot is located at the intersection of Thayer and Power Streets.

From the Northwest: Follow Route 146 to I-95 South. Once on I-95 South, follow the directions above (from the North and South).


2009-2010 rates for the Visitor Lot are:

Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm $3.00/hour
All Day Rate until 6pm (M-F) $15.00
Weekdays after 6pm, weekends, holidays $2/hour


Directions to Classics from the Visitor Parking Lot 
Macfarlane House (48 College Street):
On foot: Walk back up Thayer Street to George Street, and turn left. Turn right onto Prospect Street, and left onto College Street (opposite the Van Wickle Gates). Macfarlane House is the fourth building down the hill on the right.

Wilbour Hall (2 Prospect Street):
On foot: Walk back up Thayer Street to George Street, and turn left. Turn right onto Prospect Street, and Wilbour Hall will be immediately on the left, on the corner of Prospect and George Streets.

Alternative Parking
When the Visitor Parking Lot on Power Street is full, visitors are now able to park in Lot 2 in Athletics. Please begin at the Visitor Lot on Power Street - if full, please prepay there and take your receipt to Athletics. Make sure to put the receipt on your dashboard so our Parking Enforcement can read it.
