UES Handbook

UES Handbook

The Urban Education Semester combines graduate-level study in public policy, community development, and system reform with hands-on supervised fieldwork in New York City public schools. Participants earn 15 Bank Street credits (which transfer back to Brown) for the experience.

The UES Handbook explains the nuts and bolts of the UES program, from the various components of the curriculum to a typical day in UES and day-to-day life in New York City. Click on the link below to learn more about UES faculty and staff, program fees and expenses, and how to apply.
