Tuesday October 28, Keith Stanski

Dr. Keith Stanski ’04 is the Deputy Head of the Research and Liaison Unit in the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operation’s Situation Center in New York. Prior to joining the UN, Keith worked at the Center on International Cooperation (CIC) at New York University, where he helped design and facilitate strategic dialogue processes in South Asia. Keith began working in the region with International Organisations for Migration (IOM), overseeing reconstruction projects across southeast Afghanistan. Keith has consulted with Oxford Analytica, Control Risks and the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) on political risk in South Asia and Latin America. He is also co-edited with Tarak Barkawi a recent volume entitled Orientalism and War (Oxford, 2013).

Tuesday, November 11 Catie Whelan '06

 Caitie Whelan is a Senior Foreign Policy Advisor in Congress for Representaitve Sam Farr. Prior to coming to DC, she co-founded a school in India, raised pigs in Italy, and served fried clams in Maine. She is a graduate of Brown University and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, where she is co-founder and Chair of the Alumni Board. Caitie hails from the Great State of Maine and is a Truman Scholar.
