These deadlines for completion of the OIP electronic application should be used as a guide for planning.  Please note that for Alternative and Petition programs, Brown students must complete both an OIP electronic application and the Alternative or Petition program provider application (whose deadlines may differ from the OIP electronic application deadlines below).   Please refer to host websites for information.

Non-Brown Program Application

Students who are applying to a non-Brown program, approved or petition, will apply directly to the host-institution or provider. Brown students will also be required to complete a Brown-approved application.  It is best to apply early, because many programs accept applications on a rolling admissions basis.

OIP recommends applying to an Alternative Program as soon as possible, even if you have not yet received approval from Brown.
