Social Innovation Initiative Partners with Taubman Center

November 11, 2013

The Social Innovation Initiative's partnership with the Taubman Center for Public Policy & American Institutions provides Brown undergraduates and graduates with meaningful ways of exploring social innovation in the classroom and community. Through  courses focused on high-performing approaches to social change, including: Nonprofit Organizations; Social Entrepreneurship; Thinking, Planning, and Acting Strategically; and Leading Social Ventures, students will be challenged to consider the role of every sector in tackling significant social challenges through leadership, entrepreneurship, and public policy.

The Taubman Center now offers funding for 1-2 MPA students - working as individuals or in teams - to participate in SII’s Social Innovation Fellowship, which includes Brown and RISD undergraduates. Graduate students at the Taubman Center may also apply for Impact Providence, a summer internship program run by the Swearer Center for Public Service.
