Students with Registered Disabilities

Students with registered disabilities may be entitled to certain accommodations, including extended time for exams. In such cases, students are required to present a letter from Brown's Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office to the course instructor stating their right to a particular accommodation. Federal law requires that approved accommodations be granted. Teaching assistants are required to inform course instructors of any documented requests for accommodation. Faculty wishing to include a statement about disabilities may see sample language available on the SAS website.

The SAS office can help arrange proctors and spaces for exams if necessary.   For more information, contact Tere Ramos, Director of Brown's Student  Accessibility Services office, at 863-9588.
