The CAC offers grants to Brown faculty and students through four major grant programs.

Arts Initiative

In 2011, and anonymous donor provided Arts Initiative funding to the Creative Arts Council for the purpose of energize all the arts and the Granoff Center, and to act as a stimulant for others who want to support our programs.

Arts Initiative Funding is meant to support

  • Programmatic Support for Visiting Artists, exhibitions, conferences/symposia, and departmental support including course assistance and course replacement
  • Faculty Research
  • International Outreach
  • Community Engagement

There is a broad range of activities that can be supported by Arts Initiative funding.  Any faculty inteested in applying for AI funding should contact Chira DelSesto to discuss the proposed project, and request and application form and application deadline.  Proposal under $10,000 will be accepted on a rolling basis; proposals over $10,000 will be reviewed once per semester.
