The Center for Language Studies sponsors not-for-credit language courses for members of the Brown University community. Recent examples include Hausa, Kiswahili and Turkish. These courses are taught by native speakers under the auspices of the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistants Program. For academic year 2014-2015 we will be offering Kiswahili. For more information, please email Language_Studies@brown.edu. The Office of Continuing Education also offers non-credit courses in several languages as part of its offerings for the people of Southeast New England.
