Stephen Burt's books of poems are Parallel Play (2006), Shot Clocks: Poems for the WNBA (2006), and Popular Music (1999); his new book of criticism is The Forms of Youth: Twentieth Century Poetry and Adolescence. Raised in and around Washington, DC, he has lived in Connecticut, New York, England and Minnesota, taught until recently at Macalester College in St Paul, and now teaches at Harvard University.
