Simulation Center

Pediatric simulation comprises a large part of the activity of the Lifespan Medical Simulation Center. Frank Overly, MD, a PEM Faculty member, is co-director of the Simulation Center and director of pediatric simulation.  The Pediatric Simulation Team at Lifespan Medical Simulation Center has developed international recognition in the world of pediatric medical simulation. Course offerings specific to children include advanced airway management, mobile critical care simulation, and teamwork training, and PALS for pediatric and emergency medicine residents, PEM fellows, nursing, and ED and PICU staff.

Beyond simulation training for the Lifespan staff, the Pediatric Simulation Team executes rigorous research, presents projects at national and international conferences, and orchestrates regional outreach programs to share their expertise.
