Dr. Abrantes' research interests focus on developing aerobic exercise interventions for the improvement of mental health outcomes among those with addictive behaviors and/or psychiatric problems. Her current studies involve examining exercise for smoking cessation among smokers with depression, exercise as an adjunct to patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and increasing physical activity among Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
