I am interested in stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurocritical care outcomes. Using disease specific registries and large population level databases I address questions related to prevention and health services research.

Biography

Corey R. Fehnel, MD is a neurointensivist in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Rhode Island Hospital and Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Graduated with honors from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (2006). Internship in Internal Medicine, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (2007). Residency in Neurology, Harvard/Beth Israel Deaconess/Boston Children's Hospital (2010). Fellowship in Neurocritical Care, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital (2012).

Teaching Experience

Most of my teaching activities are in the clinical realm with neurology residents at Rhode Island Hospital. I am also a small group leader for Biology 3652, IMS II Brain Science at Brown Alpert Medical School.
