The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) is required for all AMCAS applicants. Scores from tests taken within the three-year period prior to matriculation are acceptable. For example, applicants to the 2014 first-year entering class must present MCAT scores dated from January 2011 onwards.
We highly encourage you to take the MCAT exam as early as possible during the application year. The latest MCAT test scores we will accept for the 2013-2014 application cycle will be from the September 12, 2013 exam. For information regarding the MCAT test schedule and general instructions, refer to the AAMC website.
There is no requirement for a minimum MCAT composite score. In the MD Class of 2016, MCAT composite scores range from 26-38, which is comparable to those in previous classes.
