Program Description

Contemporary Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology for Primary Care 2.0 is designed to update the primary care audience on the appropriate imaging algorithm for many common out-patient conditions. Moreover, the primary care audience will be able to identify which patients may benefit from interventional radiology therapies versus more invasive treatments.

Primary Care Physicians, Obstetrics and Gynecology Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses

Educational Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand and use appropriate imaging algorithms and be updated in screening recommendations
  2. Implement evidence-based imaging in the evaluation of common
    out-patient conditions
  3. Incorporate out-patient minimally invasive procedures for common conditions
  4. Understand the risks and benefits of radiation in diagnostic imaging
