Graduate Years

During the hiatus in their MD training, MD/PhD students typically spend three to five years completing the requirements for the PhD degree in one of the BioMed Division’s graduate programs.  Coursework during the PhD years varies by program.  Students in all graduate programs must complete independent laboratory research to fulfill the graduate school’s thesis requirements.  Research programs are located at sites throughout the BioMed division and its affiliated hospitals.  For lists of trainers, see the individual graduate program sites.
