Research interests:  Michael Litwack is a PhD candidate in the Department of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University. He teaches and researches at the articulation of critical ethnic studies, comparative media studies, and critical theory, with particular interests in race and modernity; deconstruction and biopolitics; theories of technology; television and popular culture; and the question of the human. Michael's dissertation examines the racialization of the human-machine interface, providing a critical treatment of the conjunctions between race and technics in competing genealogies of U.S. biopolitics across 20th century thought and culture.
