[SERVICE] 2013-2014 NSP:PAL Mentor Applications Now Open

NSP is looking for strong science students to support their younger peers in the 2013-2014 academic year. Mentors meet with potential science concentrators 1-on-1 every week to discuss issues pertaining to the whole student: academic, personal, and otherwise. Additionally menotrs meet with one another in small groups to hone their mentoring abilties and support one another.

[JOB] 2013-2014 NSP:PAL Coordinator Applications Now Open

NSP is looking for strong leaders and mentors to guide NSP:PAL through the 2013-2014 academic year. Coordinators are responsible for overseeing two teams of four mentors and their mentees. As such, Coordinators play a formative role in shaping the lives of aspiring scientists.

NSP Open Study

Starting Tuesday, February 5, NSP has reserved space exclusively for studying science. For two hours each Tuesday and Thursday, join old friends, or meet new ones as you tackle applied math, biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, math, neuroscience, physics, or any other science course.

Work on problem sets or readings, review lectures, and brainstorm project ideas with feedback from peers and tutors.

Come and go as you please---no RSVP necessary.

Light refreshments provided.

[EVENT] Bouncing Back: Learning from a Challenging Semester

A panel of junior and senior science concentrators will talk about their biggest mistakes freshman and sophomore year and how they've overcome them to be successful.

CHEM 0350, MATH 0100, PHYS 0040 will be among the courses discussed.
