Annual Retreat


The 24th Pathobiology Program Retreat will be held on TUESDAY, AUGUST 26th.  All faculty, students, and postdocs are invited to attend this annual event taking place at the Haffenreffer Estate in Bristol.



The Annual Program Retreat features outside keynote speakers and program reviewers, research talks by advanced students and fellows, and posters from all Program laboratories in an informal day-long setting. 

The 23rd Annual Pathobiology Graduate Program Retreat was held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Haffenreffer Estate in Bristol, Rhode Island. Invited to present their research were the following two keynote speakers:

Jonathan Gitlin, M.D.

Senior Scientist & Director, The Eugene Bell Center, Marine Biological Laboratory

"The Inherited Disorders of Copper Metabolism: New Insights from Zebrafish"

Amanda Jamieson, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Medical Science, Department of Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, Brown University

"Host Response to Influenza Virus/Bacterial Coinfections:  Resistance and Tolerance"
