As faculty in a university and in a medical school, we pursue the academic goals of research and teaching in our discipline about the pathogenesis of human disease within a broader social and environmental context.  Our work includes improving understanding of pathobiology, and working with our affiliated hospitals, our learners can also see the most current laboratory testing that serves patients today, and gain a deeper understanding of where pathobiology will move as a field of inquiry. And as faculty of Brown University, we seek to preserve the values of integrity, academic freedom, open communication, and diversity within this community of scholars and students.
