Ying Liu began her Ph.D. in Nutrition Epidemiology in 2002 at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, after several years of working at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. While at UNC, Liu received training in epidemiology and biostatistics as well as substantive training in sociology and population studies at the Carolina Population Center (CPC) as a pre-doctoral trainee. After graduating in 2007, Liu started her current position at Brown’s PSTC. With strength in data analysis, Liu enjoys providing statistical consulting to colleagues at the center. Lius has extensive experience in analyzing large-scale social and public health datasets such as National Census; Education Longitudinal Study of 2002 (ELS:2002); National Education Longitudinal Study of 1988 (NELS:88); China Health and Nutrition Survey(CHNS); and National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health).
