"Text-as-Data" Workshop

Dr. Sebastian Munoz-Najar Galvez, the Bluhm Family Assistant Professor of Data Science and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education

PSTC will offer a two-day "Text-as-Data" workshop. The workshop is co-sponsored with the Annenberg Institute and Watson Institute, and will be led by Dr. Sebastian Munoz-Najar Galvez, the Bluhm Family Assistant Professor of Data Science and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, who will provide an overview of the core ideas and the main programming libraries for text analysis in R. The workshop will take place from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on both 1/22 and 1/23. Breakfast (served starting at 8:30 am) and lunch will be provided on both days. This is an in-person only event and will take place in the PSTC Seminar Room 205 (Mencoff Hall 68 Waterman St, Providence, RI 02912). Graduate students and postdocs should have received a calendar invitation: please confirm your attendance for the workshop by replying "yes" to the invite by January 10, 2024 at 5 pm. Feel free to reach out with any questions to [email protected] or [email protected].
