Nearly 1 in 6 adults in South Africa suffer from HIV. Brown University and University of Cape Town, South Africa are collaborating on a 5-year, multi-million dollar project funded by NIH to create a new program to train social scientists to develop sustainable approaches to the epidemic of HIV in South Africa. Dr. Mark Lurie will lead Brown’s participation in the program.
