Research Activities

The Center supports path-breaking research on cross-border movements of capital, goods, services, and people, as well as cross-country differences in growth, development, and income distribution. Some of the recent work support by the Rhodes Center has shown that bank deregulation reduced income inequality in the United States, that the raising of capital in international debt markets is a much larger source of capital than raising funds in international equity markets, that firms that raise money abroad actually increase the amount that they raise in their home markets in both absolute and relative terms, and much more.
