In the Forest of Arden, all is not what it seems.  Royal exile, mistaken identities, cross-dressing, and lions living in British forests have never been better used in the pursuit of true love than they are Shakespeare’s As You Like It, one of his wittiest, most crowd-pleasing plays.  Directed by Nicholas Ridout, Visiting Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies and Reader in Theatre and Performance Studies at Queen Mary University of London.

Nicholas RidoutDirector Nicholas Ridout teaches in the Department of Drama at Queen Mary, University of London. He is the author of Stage Fright, Animals and Other Theatrical Problems (CUP: 2006), and co-editor, with Joe Kelleher, ofContemporary Theatres in Europe (Routledge: 2006). He is the co-author, with Claudia Castellucci, Romeo Castellucci, Chiara Guidi and Joe Kelleher of The Theatre of Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio (Routledge: 2007).
