About the Office

The Office of Student Veterans and Commissioning Programs was established in January 2012 at the request of the Brown Corporation to "coordinate and direct services supporting veterans studying at Brown and Brown students participating in ROTC programs" (October 2011).

While initiated by Brown's response to a review of ROTC, the Office is a campus resource for not just ROTC but for all United States military officer commissioning programs. Additionally, the Office serves student veterans, whether of the United States military or military service in other countries.

The Office supports all students -- undergraduate, graduate, and medical -- and also is available as a resource to faculty, staff, alumni/ae, and families of students.

In keeping with the University's nondiscrimination policy, all services and programs of the Office are open to all members of the Brown community.
