Veterans Day

Honoring Those Who Have Served

Each year, Brown honors members of the Brown and Rhode Island communities who have served the nation in the United States military.

This year, the ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. The procession will depart Main Green at 12 noon, with the ceremony beginning on Simmons Quad at 12:10pm. Speakers include:

Governor-elect Gina Raimondo
Brown President Christina Paxson
Brown student veterans
Brown alum Ted Lowe '49
Rev. Janet Cooper Nelson

The Jabberwocks will perform the National Anthem.
Color guard provided by Patriot Battalion Army ROTC.

The ceremony is organized annually by the Brown University Student Veterans Society with the assistance of the Division of Campus Life & Student Services and the Office of the Dean of the College.
