Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership
Transforming Leaders. Transforming Healthcare.
Healthcare in America is undergoing rapid, disruptive and persistent change, and the public debate on cost, quality, and access to care continues. It will take visionary leaders to transform our healthcare organizations and to deliver outstanding products and services in this dynamic environment.
The Brown University Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership prepares these leaders to transform healthcare. This 16-month intensive degree program is designed for clinicians, executives, and senior administrators who have significant responsibility in the healthcare industry; including those from health care delivery, public health, drug and product manufacturing, health care consulting, health management systems, insurance, patient advocacy, and from legal, policy and regulatory settings. It is a blend of on-campus and online learning that allows participants to work full time while pursuing an advanced degree.
Participants in the program benefit from Brown’s strength in public health, public policy, health economics, and evidence-based medicine. They examine the conditions and limitations of the current healthcare system and confront the challenges of reformulating it. Progressing through the program as a cohort, highly accomplished participants contribute significantly to peer-to-peer learning while working closely with expert faculty.
Executive Master of Healthcare Leadership graduates are well-positioned to lead in the clinical, corporate, and public sectors; to interpret and use data for sound decision making; and to promote outstanding health care for patients as well as financial health for their organizations. Through the program, they gain a comprehensive perspective that goes beyond local concerns, and develop the knowledge and skills to create flexible, responsive and sustainable organizations across the healthcare industry.
