Brown University, in partnership with the Greek island community of Naxos, offers a 3-week program to introduce high school students to college-level inquiry and area studies in the humanities. Students participate in structured seminars, lectures and workshops that expose them to key historical, cultural and contemporary issues of Greek societies. The program encourages curiosity, diversity and responsibility through community building activities in addition to an immersion into Greek life and culture.

Located in the Cyclades Islands south of mainland Greece, Naxos offers rolling hills and valleys dotted with clusters of white washed villages, Byzantine churches and medieval towers. The program is located in the capital port of Hora, a typical Cycladic town of cobblestone streets and passages. Small and intimate, Naxos provides a complete cultural immersion experience.
