Brown University, in partnership with St. Stephen’s International School-Rome, is pleased to offer a unique international experience for high school students.
This 3-week summer program offers an immersion in Roman life and culture and combines academic excellence in a range of disciplines. Program participants follow a humanities program that includes history, literature, language, and the arts. Students choose a total of 3 courses for their immersion program: Roman life and culture, language study and an elective arts course. All courses are taught in English by experienced faculty from Brown and St. Stephen’s School.
Students participate in structured seminars, lectures, and workshops that expose them to key cultural, historical, and contemporary issues of Roman societies. Co-curricular excursions to the Sorrentine Coast, Tuscany, and Umbria allow students to experience the great diversity of landscapes that make up the Italian boot.
