A comprehensive introduction to child and adolescent psychological disorders. Focuses on risk, vulnerability, and protective factors in order to probe why some children develop significant psychological problems when others do not. Emphasis on how biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors interactively contribute to the development of psychopathology. Examines effective treatments, as well as educational and social policy implications. Prerequisite: CLPS 0010, 0200, or 0600.
