Prior Language Requirement

No prior proficiency in Russian language is required.

Passport/Visa Requirement

Both a passport and student visa are required for travel to Russia.   Brown’s Office of Continuing Education will submit your visa paperwork to the Russian Consulate on your behalf. (Please see “How To Apply” for required forms.) Please note that your passport must be valid at least for 1 ½ years after the end date of the program and must have at least two blank pages available for your visa. Your student visa will only be valid for the exact dates of the program, therefore your travel itinerary cannot deviate from the program dates (arrive in Russia on TBD and depart Russia on TBD).
