Restrict access to the Brown community

Select this option to restrict your pages to Brown faculty, staff, students, and other closely affiliated groups.

User List

Restrict access to specific users Usernames Brown usernames. Separate names with a comma.

Select this option to restrict your pages to people with specific IDs that you provide above.

Groups

Restrict access by group name Group name(s) Brown group names (from MACE Grouper) that you would like to allow access to your site. Separate multiple groups with a comma. You can find a listing of some groups here.

Select this option to restrict your pages to people who belong to specific groups that you provide above.

In addition to the groups, add access for individual Brown users as well? Brown Usernames Brown usernames. Separate names with a comma.

IP Address

Restrict access by IP address Permitted IP Addresses IP addresses you wish to allow access to your pages. e.g. 10.55.27.243

This option does not use Shibboleth. CIS does not recommend this option, it is provided as a convenience.

Select this option (and enter a list of space-separated IP [network] addresses/masks) to restrict your pages to people coming in via those (network) addresses. Effective use of this option requires an in-depth understanding of IP addressing.
