Research 

In fiscal year 2012, total research expenditures were $178,908,912. Top funding sources included Department of Health and Human Services, National Science Foundation, Department of Defense and Energy, NASA, Department of Education, and several private, corporate and nonprofit organizations. Faculty members also garnered support in the form of Fulbright scholarships, and MacArthur, Guggenheim and National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships.

Libraries

 

 

The University Library system contains more than 6.8 million items, and provides access to a wide range of materials online. The Library collection includes bound volumes, periodicals, maps, sheet music and manuscripts. This number of items grows by more than 70,000 each year.
