The Brown Instructional Technology (BIT) Grants Program is an opportunity for instructors to have digital projects created for their courses. BIT Grants consist of consulting from the Instructional Technology and the Media Production groups, and production work by a skilled team of Student Technology Assistants. Instructors participate in all phases of their projects and are asked to present their completed projects to the wider campus community. Past projects include animations, digital video productions, custom websites, blog and wiki customizations, digitization of personal collections.
There is an annual call for proposals in the spring, and they are also accepted online throughout the year by completing the form. Project proposals should state specific pedagogical goals and explain how the use of technology might enhance the teaching and learning experience.
