The Committee is accepting applications for school-based grants through June 15, 2013 for the 2013-2014 academic year. Consideration will be given to programs and initiatives that are aligned with our mission. Awards range from $5,000 to $30,000. Funding will not be provided for general operating expenses, salaries, or budget support.
Applications will be given consideration by the Committee and grants will be awarded this summer. Grantees of selected proposals will be formally notified of their award by letter upon completion of the review process. Grantees will be required to measure program success and submit documentation of grant expenses and a final report to the Committee.
Please note Brown University is transitioning the way proceeds from the Fund are allocated to support a new initiative that will provide scholarships for Providence public high school graduates, and this will be our last year awarding school-based grants. Through this development, we hope to encourage academic achievement and access to post-secondary education. Please review the announcement to learn more about the scholarship program.
