Grouper allows people and departments to manage the membership of groups; these groups can then be used to easily support sharing and collaborative work. Groups are automatically created for official Brown courses and departments. Email can be sent to the group; web pages, Wiki spaces, and Google Docs can be shared with the group. Management of group membership can be delegated to others.

Center for Computation and Visualization (CCV) maintains a large computer cluster for research use. Researchers confronting problems which are too large to solve on a conventional laptop or workstation can obtain a free, exploratory account which allows limited use of the system. Priority use is available for a fee.
The Information Technology Security Computing Incident Response Team (CIRT) is the emergency response team for all IT security events at Brown University, and is critical to protecting Brown University's electronic communications infrastructure.
