Web Authentication (Shibboleth) provides the Brown community with the ability to protect web resources and exercise fine-grained control of access to those resources to members of the Brown Community and federation partners.
Brown departments, centers, groups, or organizations can host their official websites in the brown.edu web environment. Users can request a web publishing account and a new space to build a site, or simply a web publishing account to publish to an already existing space.
Employees of all types can change thier personal employee data using this service. Examples of data that can be changed include: home address, emergency contact information, veteran status and ethnicity. Name and social security number changes must be made through the Human Resources office.
Wikis provide groups within the Brown community to collaborate in online wiki-spaces. Wiki-spaces are made up of a collection of interconnected webpages and attachments.
Brown-Secure is the recommended wireless network for anyone with a Brown username and password. It is recommended over Brown_EZ as it provides for a better user experience and a higher level of security and protection of your data.
