Telephone service is available throughout Brown University. The main telephone system provides on-campus service with standard features such as call hold, transfer, waiting, forwarding, conference calling, last number redial, voice mail, and music on hold.
The Information Security Group performs regularly scheduled and ad-hoc scanning of network and web services to identify vulnerabilities, ensure security standards, and maintain regulatory compliance.
The Information Security Group is available for consulting on all topics related to information security, privacy, P2P, compliance, social networks, wireless, laptop safety, and on-line protection. The group also consults on new and on-goind security projects, and is also available for speaking at department and organizational meetings.
The Information Security Group, in addition to a bi-annual risk assessment, can perform a security-focused risk assessment of a department for compliance to standards or regulations, or for audit preparation or remediation.

A technician may be requested to establish and monitor the conference if requested under the 'Special Requirements/Comments' section of the request form. Conferences outside of normal University business hours should also be noted under the 'Special Requirements/Comments' section.
Provide design guidance, vendor selection and management services to departments interested in upgrading or installing AV technology in their buildings.
CIS Service & Repair can provide guidance on what computer and printer hardware to purchase. They maintain a list of standard equipment to fit most needs.
Sign-Up Center creates an online sign-up for office hours, study groups, sections, etc. Administrators can set up the number and length of time slots and how many people can sign-up for them. Administrators can check to see who is signed-up and exactly what time they will be there.

CIS provides printer stations (both black & white and color) in the computing clusters throughout the campus. Users can use these printers to print from cluster computers as well as from their own personal computers.
