
Beth joined Brown in 2007 as the Director of Finance & Administration for the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). Beth is responsible for financial reporting and operations for OVPR and oversees the budgets of departments and of research centers and institutes reporting to the Vice President. She also manages the team providing executive support to the Vice President and his staff.
Beth has served the University as a member of the Organizational Review Committee and has recently been named to the University Resources Committee.
As Corporate Controller, Beth was one of the founding employees of Spectra Systems Corporation, a Brown spin-out company utilizing patented Brown technology for marking and authenticating currency. In 2004, she acted as the Conference Coordinator for Carbon2004, an international scientific conference hosted by Brown’s Division of Engineering. Beth is a CPA with a background in both public and management accounting. She holds a B.S. in accounting from Michigan Technological University and an M.B.A. from Bryant University.
