The Office of Research Opportunities works with faculty, staff, and key university administrators to develop and implement procedures and strategies that increase institutional research competitiveness. Our staff provides critical oversight of OVPR’s internal grant programs for faculty research and university-wide management of the restricted submission process for external funding opportunities.
Services provided by this office include:
- Identification of internal and external funding opportunities for faculty research.
- Guidance and support for investigators preparing large-scale and/or multidisciplinary proposals to federal funding agencies.
- Workshops and one-on-one meetings for faculty on topics such as specific funding mechanisms, grant writing skills, and communicating with program officers at funding agencies.
