"Lego As A Creative Tool" Workshop

September 24, 2013

On September 23, Lukas WinklerPrins '15, co-vice president of the Brown University STEAM Initiative, ran a workshop, "Lego As A Creative Tool" in the Makerspace in Prince Lab.

The goal of the workshop was to introduce a broad audience to thinking about LEGO as more than just a kids toy. In it, participants were tasked with using the ubiquitous plastic brick in constructive, creative play to spur imagination and realize how to push beyond a medium's built-in limitations. Attendees saw how widely and how powerfully used LEGO is as a tool to build teamwork, strategize, prototype, and articulate.
