Undergraduate tuition for the academic year 2008-09 is $36,928, and room, board, and required fees are $10,812. The total cost is $47,740.

Financial Aid

Brown provides 100 percent of the demonstrated financial need for all aided students who matriculate. Forty-one percent of the undergraduate student body receives need-based financial aid. The average financial-aid package for the class of 2012 was $33,550.

Since the class of 2007, all domestic undergraduates admitted as freshmen at Brown were admitted under the University's need-blind admission policy.
