I am pursuing a PhD in machine learning (particularly deep learning) for healthcare applications, following a multi-modal approach (natural language resources, medical images, physiological measurements, omics) for prognosis, diagnosis and information retrieval. The program is carried out in collaboration with ETH Zurich. I have previously worked as a research engineer on topics related to natural language processing and computer vision in the information technology and telecommunications industry and on mathematical modelling for quantum mechanical systems at ETH Zurich.

I have received a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master's in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich, specializing in mathematical modeling, numerical optimization and high performance computing, with domain knowledge in electronics, telecommunications and solid state physics.
