Laura Mercurio, MD

As a physician, I am pursuing the intersection between clinical medicine, informatics, and machine learning. With a background in febrile neonate research, my academic work currently includes: machine learning in pediatric sepsis, genome changes in response to acute lung infection, and the impact of clinical practice guidelines on infant fever management.

I am a third year fellow in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. I received my medical degree from the Alpert Medical School at Brown University, and completed my residency training at Hasbro Children's Hospital/Brown University. I have received a certificate in clinical and translational research from the Brown University School of Public Health.
