Nicolas

Nicolás Barbosa López is a Ph.D. Student in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies at Brown. Originally from Colombia, he received his B.A. in Hispanic Literature from Universidad de los Andes in 2012. Since then he worked as an English teacher at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and as a literary translator for several publishing houses in Colombia and Spain. He is responsible for the edition and translation of over a dozen Portuguese books published in Spanish, including poetry, theater, and novels. His research focuses on author Fernando Pessoa and early twentieth-century Portuguese literature.
