Alumni Activities

All undergraduates' parents are mailed the Brown Alumni Magazine (BAM) at no charge while their children are enrolled at Brown. Published six times a year, BAM reports on current issues, both national and campus-related, and includes features on the lives and accomplishments of Brown alumni, students, and faculty.

In addition, Brown parents are notified by mail of alumni-related activities, including faculty lectures and events for prospective students in their geographic region. Upcoming alumni events around the globe are listed at alumni.brown.edu/news_events.

Brown parents are encouraged to consider volunteering for the Brown Alumni Association’s Brown Alumni Schools Committee (BASC) program, which helps to personalize the admission experience for applicants. While most parents generally do not participate in the interviewing process, many help by hosting events for applicants at their homes or offices.
